Position Overview

In the role of Senior Architectural Technologist, you will lead and mentor team members throughout all phases of project development, from initial design to construction administration and team collaboration. The ideal candidate will exhibit enthusiasm, leadership, and innovative thinking. A strong technical foundation and design experience, particularly with Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling software, are essential. Our current projects include both local and international endeavors in healthcare, cutting-edge office spaces, and urban residential designs, with a strong emphasis on sustainability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Guiding team members and actively contributing to the creation of drawing packages for various submissions and construction processes.
  • Regularly updating the Partner in Charge/Project Manager on project progress.
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure project success, focusing on client satisfaction, quality of work, profitability, and fostering a professional team environment.
  • Working alongside the design team to clarify design goals, intricate features, and potential solutions.
  • Assisting in the development of detailed design concepts and translating them into comprehensive design documents.
  • Coordinating with consultant teams.
  • Engaging with clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Conducting project code analysis and ensuring compliance.
  • Leading meetings with clients and consultants as necessary.
  • Reviewing drawings for accuracy, consultant coordination, and adherence to local building codes and regulations prior to submission.
  • Overseeing project tendering processes.
  • Leading research on building components and systems.
  • Participating in site meetings, reviewing shop drawings, and providing necessary contract administration support.
  • Engaging in mandatory training sessions and consistently promoting safe work practices, including identifying and reporting potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Architectural Technologist Diploma or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience as an Architectural Technologist.
  • Expertise in Revit, Bluebeam, Revizto, and AutoCAD is crucial.
  • Familiarity with Sketchup and Navisworks is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong conceptual and design capabilities.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning and accountability in your role.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative spirit and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • This position may involve travel for client site visits, meetings, training sessions, and industry events.
