About the Job:
We are seeking a qualified Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Desha Brar Restaurant Ltd. As a key member of our management staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food service department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation and Service: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that high-quality dishes are consistently delivered to our customers.
- Staff Management: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as hiring new staff members to ensure we have a well-skilled team.
- Work Schedules: Establish methods to meet work schedules and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Customer Service: Address customer complaints or concerns, ensuring that we provide excellent service and exceed customer expectations.
Requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food service management or a related field.
- Work Setting: Our restaurant operates in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Supervision: You will supervise a team of 3-4 people, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their responsibilities.
- Security and Safety: Basic security clearance is required, and you must adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Benefits: We offer competitive compensation, including an estimated salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include free parking and a permanent work term.
