The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Donor Relations and Stakeholder Engagement to join our Advancement team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to foster strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of donor stewardship, events, and database professionals to provide support to our fundraisers for all fundraising activities.
- Develop and execute recognition events, donor and stakeholder cultivation, stewardship, and strategic development initiatives.
- Manage and track sub-budgets, provide sound business advice to the Dean, Vice-Deans, and Executive Director, Advancement.
- Collaborate with the Dean, Senior Management Group, and faculty to provide leadership and professional advice.
- Develop, motivate, and manage a highly successful donor and stakeholder relations and events delivery team.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years' experience in an advancement role, preferably in a university environment in a senior portfolio.
- Ability to develop, motivate, and manage a highly successful donor and stakeholder team.
- Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, with exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and internet software; familiarity with donor management systems; knowledge of Blackboard an asset.
- Experience working in a dynamic environment with complex, evolving agendas and priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively under pressure, with a proven track record of working effectively and collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders.
