Job Summary

The First Nations Financial Management Board is seeking a skilled Recruitment Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing effective recruitment strategies to attract top-tier candidates and build a strong talent pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the recruiting strategy to ensure the organization attracts high-caliber talent in a timely manner;
  • Perform full-cycle recruitment to support all business lines by completing tasks such as conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews, creating interview questions, interviewing, criminal reference checks, and personal reference checks;
  • Create and monitor job postings, advertising externally as needed;
  • Determine sourcing and attraction strategies/methodologies to increase the organization's ability to attract, source, and recruit indigenous candidates;
  • Support the orientation of new employees as needed;
  • Ensure compliance with local and federal employment standards.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management from a recognized educational institution or relevant experience required;
  • Minimum of two (2) years recruitment experience;
  • Previous experience, knowledge, or understanding in Indigenous culture an asset;
  • Experience connecting with and/or recruiting Indigenous candidates a strong asset;
  • Excellent communicator with a strong command of written and spoken English; French or Indigenous language skills considered an asset;
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills;
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of Canadian federal employment/labour laws and general human resources policies and procedures;
  • Effective working skills of Microsoft and Adobe software products.

Working Conditions

  • This position is based out of Winnipeg, MB. Hybrid work arrangements may be considered;
  • May require occasional national travel.
