Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Recruitment Specialist to join our team at the First Nations Financial Management Board. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, attracting, and selecting top-tier candidates to join our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract high-caliber talent in a timely manner;
  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment, including phone screens, scheduling interviews, creating interview questions, interviewing, and conducting background checks;
  • Create and monitor job postings, advertising externally as needed;
  • Determine sourcing and attraction strategies to increase our ability to attract and recruit Indigenous candidates;
  • Support the orientation of new employees as needed;
  • Ensure compliance with local and federal employment standards.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management or a related field;
  • Minimum of two years of recruitment experience;
  • Previous experience, knowledge, or understanding of Indigenous culture is an asset;
  • Experience connecting with and/or recruiting Indigenous candidates is a strong asset;
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills;
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of Canadian federal employment and labor laws and general human resources policies and procedures;
  • Effective working skills of Microsoft and Adobe software products.

Working Conditions

  • This position is based out of Winnipeg, MB. Hybrid work arrangements may be considered.
  • May require occasional national travel.
