Recruitment Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Recruitment Specialist to join our team at the First Nations Financial Management Board. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, attracting, and selecting top-tier candidates to join our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract high-caliber talent in a timely manner;
- Conduct full-cycle recruitment, including phone screens, scheduling interviews, creating interview questions, interviewing, and conducting background checks;
- Create and monitor job postings, advertising externally as needed;
- Determine sourcing and attraction strategies to increase our ability to attract and recruit Indigenous candidates;
- Support the orientation of new employees as needed;
- Ensure compliance with local and federal employment standards.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management or a related field;
- Minimum of two years of recruitment experience;
- Previous experience, knowledge, or understanding of Indigenous culture is an asset;
- Experience connecting with and/or recruiting Indigenous candidates is a strong asset;
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills;
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail;
- Knowledge of Canadian federal employment and labor laws and general human resources policies and procedures;
- Effective working skills of Microsoft and Adobe software products.

Working Conditions
- This position is based out of Winnipeg, MB. Hybrid work arrangements may be considered.
- May require occasional national travel.
