About the Role

The Faculty of Agriculture at Dalhousie University invites applications for a full-time Instructor position in Horticulture to support teaching at the FAFU International College in China.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Teach undergraduate courses in Horticulture, coordinating with teaching assistants and markers as needed.">
  • Spend approximately 12 weeks per term in China, with remaining time dedicated to departmental activities and service tasks in Truro.">
  • Travel between residence and classrooms in China (approximately 1.5 km), with accommodation and meal allowance provided by FAFU.">
  • Participate in faculty activities, such as committee work and program reviews.">

Qualifications and Experience

  • ">
  • Graduate degree (MSc minimum) in agriculture or plant science, awarded by the start of the appointment, and at least two years of undergraduate teaching experience.">
  • Evidence of professional development related to teaching.">
  • Clear communication skills, inspiring students and supporting faculty initiatives.">
  • Able to travel to and spend time in China, adhering to visa requirements and regulations.">
