About the Opportunity
Nova Scotia Health is seeking an Advanced Care Paramedic to join their team. This role involves working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing their competencies through ongoing professional development, including education programs, research, and quality activities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Grade XII requirement, registration with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia, and one year of experience working as an Advanced Care Paramedic. Current BLS (HCP) Certification and previous work experience in a hospital setting or emergency care are also preferred. You will also need to demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment, and telecommunication skills.
Hours and Compensation
This is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The hourly rate for this position is $31.52 - $36.57. Successful candidates may also be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
