About the OpportunityJob Description:We are seeking a qualified Healthcare Nutrition Specialist to join our team based in Colchester/Cumberland, Nova Scotia. As the primary contact for nutrition-related matters, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to develop personalized nutrition plans for residents.
You will be responsible for assessing resident's nutritional status, reviewing monthly weights, and following up as required. Additionally, you will address individual dietary concerns, establish and maintain personal nutritional needs, and oversee special nutrition needs for special diets, allergies, and disease conditions.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, membership with a professional association, excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills. Experience in a long-term care setting is considered an asset.
