Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) to join our team in the Mental Health & Substance Use (MHSU) Psychiatric ICU (PICU) at Kelowna General Hospital.

About the Job: The successful candidate will provide nursing care to psychiatric patients, enhance quality of life for patients and families, demonstrate continuous improvement and evidence-based practice in nursing, maintain and advance own clinical competence, and participate in designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects.

Working Conditions: The position requires shift work, including days and nights, with shifts ranging from 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements: Graduation from an approved school of nursing and two years' recent related experience in a mental health and substance use environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Certification/Licensure: Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
