Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Interior Health. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with mental health conditions, both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Enhance the quality of life for patients and their families through consultation, collaboration, and education with other healthcare providers
- Maintain and advance clinical competence through continuous learning and evidence-based practice
- Participate in hospital committees and research projects as assigned
Nursing schedules are based on 12-hour shifts, including days and nights, with rotating days off. This provides opportunities for work-life balance and flexibility.

Qualifications- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
- Current practicing registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Two years' recent experience in a mental health and addictions environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
