We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our dynamic team at the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit in beautiful Kelowna, British Columbia.

This is a relief full-time opportunity until August 9, 2025, or return of the incumbent. The successful candidate will work days with shift times of 07:00 to 19:00 hours.

About this role:

  • Function as a member of the larger Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services multi-disciplinary care team
  • Provide assessment, treatment, case management, community support, and urgent response to clients with serious severe and persistent mental health problems
  • Work in conjunction with other members of the interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, occupational therapists, psychology, and community mental health professionals

About the unit:

The MHSU program at KGH has 30 acute care beds, 6 Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit beds, negative pressure rooms, a contained outdoor patio area, group therapy areas, designated areas for interviewing clients/families, individual patient bedrooms, laundry facilities, a fitness/wellness room, a resource room for patients and families, and 1 bariatric bedroom.

Please note that the estimated salary for this role is around $90,000-$120,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
