**Employee Engagement and Retention Specialist**

Maple Ridge - Pitt Meadows School District No. 42 is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Employee Engagement and Retention Specialist. This key role will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies to promote a positive work environment, enhance employee satisfaction, and improve retention rates.

**Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement employee engagement and retention strategies to support employee satisfaction and long-term engagement.
  • Collect and analyze data on employee satisfaction, turnover, and commitment through employee interviews, focus groups, surveys, and exit interviews.
  • Work with the leadership team to enhance the employee value proposition, including career development opportunities, work-life balance initiatives, and workplace culture development.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to enhance the employee experience and provide connection to the school district's mission, vision, and values.
  • Lead the development and implementation of recognition and reward programs that motivate and celebrate employee achievements.
  • Research and analyze human resource data, including recruitment, attendance, turnover, overtime, health & safety, and employee and labour relations related data.
  • Develop and implement consistent and ongoing performance feedback mechanisms to staff.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policy and procedures.
  • Provide departmental project management oversight for HRIS program and/or process enhancements.
  • Chair the Non-Instructional Day training committee for support staff and conduct training needs assessments.

**Requirements**

  • A post-secondary degree in Human Resources or a related program.
  • A minimum of five to seven years' human resources experience with a track record of developing and implementing successful HR initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

**What We Offer**

The salary range for this position is $96,878-$121,097, plus an excellent comprehensive benefits package.
