Delta Hotels & Resorts is seeking a highly skilled Academic and Operations Officer to join our team in Thunder Bay, Ontario. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of departmental strategies, ensuring the hotel meets brand standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement departmental strategies to drive revenue growth and improve guest satisfaction.
  2. Lead the hotel operations team to ensure seamless execution of brand initiatives and service standards.
  3. Collaborate with direct reports to set goals and expectations, and hold them accountable for successful performance.
  4. Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
  5. Ensure property policies are administered fairly and consistently, and support the Peer Review Process.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field, or 4 years of experience in a related professional area.
  2. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  3. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other hotel management software.
