About the Role

CANADIAN NUCLEAR LABORATORIES (CNL) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring that all contracts are negotiated and awarded in a fair and transparent manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement plans that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring that all terms and conditions are fair and reasonable.
  • Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring that they meet our quality and delivery standards.
  • Procurement Administration: Administer procurement processes, including preparing and issuing requests for proposals (RFPs), evaluating bids, and awarding contracts.
  • Contract Administration: Administer contracts, including ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and resolving any disputes that may arise.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports on procurement activities, including spend analysis and supplier performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of procurement principles and practices, including contract law and negotiation techniques.
