Job Description

At TRAPPER TRADING POST, we are seeking a skilled Retail Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for arranging products according to our planogram, establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, and overseeing the distribution of merchandise to our outlets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Arrange products according to planogram to ensure optimal store displays
  • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms
  • Oversee the distribution of merchandise to our outlets to ensure timely delivery
  • Provide excellent customer service to our customers
  • Review requirements of our establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring high-quality products
  • Supervise the work of other buyers to ensure efficient procurement processes
  • Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to stay up-to-date on industry trends
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 30 hours per week
