Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Contract Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Supply Chain department, you will be responsible for leading procurement activities and managing contracts to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Planning and Strategy
    • Develop and implement procurement plans to meet business objectives
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers
    • Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance
  • Contract Management
    • Manage contracts from initiation to close-out, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
    • Develop and implement contract management strategies to minimize risk and maximize value
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve contract-related issues
  • Supply Chain Coordination
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective procurement and contract management
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal performance
    • Monitor and report on procurement and contract management metrics
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of procurement and contract management professionals
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement process improvements

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Law, Engineering, Science, IT, or technical discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive contracting experience, preferably in procurement of goods, services, and/or construction and project management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, develop and implement procurement and contract management strategies, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve business objectives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and develop strategies
  • Functional knowledge of Canadian (Federal and Provincial) Contract Law
  • Sound knowledge and appreciation of ethical contracting and business conduct and practice
  • Functional knowledge and proficiency with systems-based tools such as Microsoft Office suite
