Job Summary: As a Certified Health Care Aide (HCA), you will be responsible for providing personal care and services to each resident in the Resident Care department.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming;
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents;
- Administer medication as per the doctor's instructions;
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and services provided;
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans;
- Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- A valid Health Care Aide (HCA) certificate;
- A genuine interest in and concern for seniors;
- Experience in retirement or long-term care is desirable;
- The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment;
- Basic life skills can be learned through on-the-job training;
- Availability to work weekends is required;
- Proof of receiving at least two doses of a Health Canada-approved Covid-19 vaccine.
