Compensation: The successful candidate can expect an annual salary of approximately $45,000-$55,000 CAD, commensurate with experience.

Job Summary: As a Certified Health Care Aide (HCA), you will be responsible for providing personal care and services to each resident in the Resident Care department.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming;
  2. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents;
  3. Administer medication as per the doctor's instructions;
  4. Maintain accurate records of resident care and services provided;
  5. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans;
  6. Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  1. A valid Health Care Aide (HCA) certificate;
  2. A genuine interest in and concern for seniors;
  3. Experience in retirement or long-term care is desirable;
  4. The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment;
  5. Basic life skills can be learned through on-the-job training;
  6. Availability to work weekends is required;
  7. Proof of receiving at least two doses of a Health Canada-approved Covid-19 vaccine.
