Job Summary

HaiLa is a pioneering company in the field of ultra-low power radio communications, aiming to revolutionize the industry by eliminating the need for batteries in wireless communication devices. Our mission is to enable Ambient Power IoT with sensing everywhere on existing protocols such as Wi-Fi. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF and Mixed Signal Design Engineer to join our dynamic and diverse team.

About the Role

You will work closely with the director of engineering to advance our system-level technology roadmap and execute on our technical strategy. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing RF, analog, and mixed-signal circuitry concepts
  • Designing and verifying/debugging RF, analog, and mixed-signal ICs in bulk CMOS from product definition through to mass production
  • Collaborating with the analog design team, systems and product definition, digital designers, and 3rd party contractors to implement the complete ASIC solution
  • Resolving performance, area, power, and system cost tradeoffs to optimize system architecture
  • Supporting IC validation and characterization efforts

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A solid understanding of analog and mixed-signal design flows (Cadence, Mentor, Synopsys, etc.) in a Linux environment, specifically Virtuoso schematic and layout, and EMX
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Experience with design and layout of some or all of the following: LNA, PA, Mixer, Op Amp, Filter, VCO, XO, Synthesizer, LDO, DAC, ADC, TDC
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with high-volume IC manufacturing is a plus

Qualifications

You will need:

  • An Electrical Engineering degree
  • 3+ years of Analog/RF or Mixed Signal ASIC design experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability and desire to work on different types of circuits
