This presents a remarkable opportunity for a RF and Mixed Signal ASIC Design Engineer to join our vibrant and diverse team. You will collaborate closely with our design engineers to enhance and sustain our microelectronics design initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and develop RF and analog/mixed-signal circuit designs.
  • Design, verify, and debug RF and mixed-signal integrated circuits in bulk CMOS from initial product definition to mass production.
  • Collaborate with the analog design team, systems and product definition experts, digital designers, and external contractors to realize a comprehensive ASIC solution.
  • Address performance, area, power, and cost trade-offs to optimize the overall system architecture.
  • Assist in the validation and characterization of integrated circuits.

Essential Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of analog/mixed-signal design processes (Cadence, Mentor, Synopsys, etc.) in a Linux environment, particularly with Virtuoso schematic and layout, and EMX.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience in designing and laying out components such as LNA, PA, Mixer, Op Amp, Filter, VCO, XO, Synthesizer, LDO, DAC, ADC, and TDC.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal), organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with high-volume IC manufacturing is advantageous.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Analog/RF or Mixed Signal ASIC design.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to work on various circuit types.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in top-level IC design.
  • Knowledge of evaluating and integrating third-party vendor intellectual properties.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as TCL or Perl, along with skills in code and pcell creation.
  • Experience in designing DC-DC converters is a plus.
  • Background in sub-threshold or very low power CMOS design is beneficial.
