About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team at JBTL Enterprises Inc. as a key member of our Supply Chain department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Sourcing: Coordinate the activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.
  • Budget Planning and Control: Plan and control budget and expenditures to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Team Management: Hire, train, direct, and motivate staff to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Purchasing Policies and Procedures: Plan, develop, and implement purchasing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Quality and Cost Control: Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services to ensure optimal value for the company.
  • Contract Management: Authorize the development of specifications for products or services and manage contracts to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
  • Claims and Inventory Management: Review and process claims against suppliers and oversee the analysis of data and information to optimize inventory levels.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the preparation of reports and analyze data to inform business decisions.
  • Senior Management Support: Advise senior management on procurement-related matters and provide strategic recommendations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a large workload.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, initiative, judgment, and a team player attitude.
