Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and driven Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team at Beacon Building Products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow with a leading distributor of roofing and building products in North America.

The Role:

  • Prospecting – Utilize industry-leading tools such as Cognos, Salesforce, and Mincron reports to manage your sales territory effectively.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to service and expand our business with existing and new customers.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through regular sales contacts and exceptional communication skills.
  • Coordinate closely with our inside sales support team and vendors to promote products and services to customers.
  • Develop new business opportunities through cold calls, lead generation, and participation in relevant organizations.

  • Strong sales, presentation, and telephone skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Outstanding work ethic and high level of ambition.
  • Independent self-starter with a preference for initiating and setting own direction.
  • Highly motivated with unprecedented drive for results.
  • Ability to meet monthly targets.
  • Experience with reading and interpreting commercial construction specifications.
  • Strong industry knowledge and proven track record, an asset.
  • Solid computer skills.

Compensation: We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, plus commission pay and bonus incentives. A reliable vehicle is required, and a car allowance and gas card will be provided.
