The Hotel Houseperson plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our hotel guests. As a key member of the housekeeping team, this individual will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel, responding to guest requests, and adhering to established policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of guest floors and linen areas, including vacuuming guest hallways on a daily basis.
  • Ensure laundry for cleaning supplies is completed on an assigned basis, covering casino, hotel, and food and beverage facilities.
  • Report any damage or maintenance issues in public areas promptly.
  • Provide courteous and welcoming assistance to guests with their queries.
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely, adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Deliver linens, cots, and extra supplies to guest rooms upon request.
  • Maintain linen closets, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and organized.
  • Ensure inventory of guest room products is adequately stocked for room attendant carts.
  • Remove items from hallways and transport them to service areas, including debris, food and beverage trays, soiled linens, and trash.
  • Comply with health and safety protocols, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Requirements:

  • Prior cleaning experience is required, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Customer service experience is also essential.
  • The ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum 25 lbs) is necessary.
  • Ability to multitask is crucial.
  • Effective communication skills are required.
  • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment and laundry machines.
  • A safety mindset is essential for self and others.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset but not mandatory.

Work Environment Considerations:

  • Work within a 24/7 operation, with flexibility to work varied hours when needed (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays).
  • Willingness to undergo a criminal record check, with results acceptable to our organization's standards.
