Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Groundskeeping Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our grounds maintenance department.
Key Responsibilities:- Hire, Supervise and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and training to perform their duties.
- Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for grounds maintenance, including mowing, pruning, and fertilizing.
- Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Estimate labour and material costs for grounds maintenance projects, ensuring budgetary compliance.
- Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of decks, decorative walls, and retaining walls, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
- Maintain Work Records and Logs: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including hours worked, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
- Repair and Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance on equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment and Supplies: Order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed, ensuring timely delivery.
- 5-10 Years of Experience: Proven experience in grounds maintenance, landscape construction, or a related field.
- Valid Driver's Licence: Possess a valid driver's licence, with a clean driving record.
- Excellent Oral Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Initiative: Demonstrate initiative, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
