About the Role

Pinecrest Remembrance Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Groundskeeping Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our grounds maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and schedule staff to ensure efficient and effective grounds maintenance operations
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance activities, including lawn care, pruning, and landscaping
  • Plan and estimate labour and materials for grounds maintenance projects
  • Organize and direct construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and other landscape features
  • Manage and supervise landscape construction work, including hiring and training staff as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of grounds maintenance activities
  • Repair and maintain equipment, including backhoes, chain saws, and small engine equipment
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 5 years or more of experience in grounds maintenance or a related field
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Initiative and ability to work independently
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to work under pressure and be able to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
