About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our team at Lush. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our treasury and compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Treasury:

  • Monitor and manage the cash management email inbox to ensure timely responses.
  • Coordinate treasury requirements for new store openings and closings, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Manage all changes to retail and corporate banking, maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinate with service providers to manage cash in transit, ensuring secure and efficient transactions.
  • Maintain accurate banking details in vendor master records, ensuring compliance.
  • Handle corporate bank deposits, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Maintain accurate banking documentation, ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements.

Compliance:

  • Coordinate personal property tax filings with third-party preparers, ensuring timely submissions.
  • Coordinate with third-party and retail stores to complete renewal of store business licenses and openings/closings requirements.
  • Support the filing and remitting of bag tax in required jurisdictions, ensuring compliance.
  • Coordinate approvals and signatures for banking, legal, and tax documents from authorized signatories.

General:

  • Monitor, review, and distribute mail to ensure timely responses.
  • Coordinate new shop openings and closing checklists, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Coordinate and project manage finance-related projects, ensuring timely completion.
  • Other projects as required, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience, with financial administrative experience preferred.
  • Proven experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information, demonstrating discretion and integrity.
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft and Google Office Suite, ensuring proficiency in software applications.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, ensuring effective time management and prioritization.
  • Effective communication skills, ensuring clear and concise communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach and initiative, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information, ensuring data integrity.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to work in person at our Vancouver office for a minimum of 3 days per week, ensuring collaboration and teamwork.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, demonstrating proficiency in software applications.
  • Retail experience is an asset, demonstrating knowledge of the retail industry.

Job Type: Regular, Full Time. Hybrid position with travel to the office three times per week.
