Vision Rehabilitation Specialist

Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada is a leading health services organization dedicated to empowering individuals with vision loss to regain independence and enhance their quality of life. As a Vision Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing training and guidance to clients, enabling them to develop essential skills for daily living.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups. A strong understanding of adaptive technology and assistive devices is also essential, as well as experience working with individuals with vision loss.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess independent living needs and abilities of individuals
- Develop and implement individualized plans to promote independence and self-advocacy
- Teach adaptive skills for daily living, including personal management, household management, and communication
- Provide training and guidance on the use of assistive devices and technology
- Liaise with community-based rehabilitation teams, agencies, and partners to ensure seamless service delivery
Salary: $27.71/hour (competitive salary and benefits package)
