Job Title: Track Engineer

Matchtech North America is seeking a skilled Track Engineer to support key railway clients in Toronto.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engineering and overhaul activities for the Track Discipline, ensuring the design and construction of assets meet relevant legislation and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement railway systems and procedures to deliver cost-effective, high-quality, and safe design, construction, commissioning, and technical activities on relevant projects.
  • Monitor the competence of Project Engineers working on Track Discipline projects and provide guidance, direction, and briefing.
  • Apply engineering controls and procedures to all projects, ensuring design and construction contracts include reference to Company standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and HAZOP analysis on all projects, ensuring environmental aspects are managed in accordance with Environmental Policy.
  • Monitor projects for compliance with Company standards and Programme project control procedures.
  • Advise project and programme management on construction activities, testing, and commissioning, ensuring design and construction elements meet legislative requirements.
  • Assure contractors' design, construction, and specialist personnel are competent.
  • Undertake reviews of design and construction activities, arranging audits to monitor safety and quality of management systems.
  • Undertake duties as nominated design and construction/design construction engineer.
  • Conduct accident investigations as remitted by the designated competent person.
