About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Planner to join our team at Barrick, a leading mining and precious metals company. As an Electrical Maintenance Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and facilities.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize production. Your primary focus will be on creating effective work plans, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating with production teams to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement reliable maintenance strategies to prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime.
  • Develop and maintain detailed work plans, including schedules, resources, and materials required for each task.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and address potential issues before they impact production.
  • Analyze and interpret data from computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to inform maintenance decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Practical experience in maintenance industry, preferably mine-related.
  • 2 years' experience with computer-based maintenance planning/scheduling.
  • Ability to read, understand, and maintain electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Electrical certification in the Province of Ontario; preferred.
  • Solid understanding of preventive maintenance and maintenance planning principles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Able to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
