Job Summary

Ridley College is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Comprehensive Payroll Administrator to join its Finance team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for employees using Payworks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Ridley's policies and legislative requirements. They will also calculate and monitor various taxable benefits, coordinate market valuations for housing benefits, and prepare Records of Employment (ROE), retiring allowances, and reconcile final pay elements.

In addition, the Comprehensive Payroll Administrator will complete year-end processing, including PA's, T4, T4As, and other taxable allowances, reconcile payroll-related accounts, respond to employee queries, and stay updated on legislative changes. They will collaborate with HR on payroll, benefits, and pension issues, utilize technology to improve productivity, administer employee benefits plans, enroll new hires, update rates, and reconcile invoicing.

The ideal candidate will possess a Post-secondary certificate in Payroll Administration, Accounting, Business or a related field and National Payroll Institute certification (PCP) is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of comprehensive payroll, benefit, and pension administration experience is required, along with proficiency in Payroll software, Microsoft Excel, and Word.

Above-average proficiency in decision-making and problem-solving skills, demonstrated integrity, and meticulous attention to detail are essential. The ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, proactively seeking opportunities for process improvement and automation, and maintaining high confidentiality are also necessary.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
