Food and Beverage Operations Manager

Vancouver Aquarium is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer experiences to all Aquarium visitors and internal guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation of our Food and Beverage outlets, ensuring all products delivered to visitors and guests are of exceptional quality.
  • Assist with staff training and development, providing ongoing feedback and coaching to the team.
  • Delegate and assign tasks as necessary, ensuring all outlets have the required resources for operational success.
  • Champion all health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all guests and team members.
  • Provide exceptional visitor and guest experiences, creating a positive, friendly, and welcoming environment for every visitor, guest, and team member.

Requirements:

  • Serving It Right certification is required.
  • Food Safe certified is preferred.
  • Clear background check is required.
  • Food services experience in a high-volume fast-paced environment is an asset.
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Possess strong leadership and people supervision skills.
  • Must be a motivated self-starter.
  • Take initiative and see tasks through to completion.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Be an organized leader and lead by example.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and carry a variety of objects up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be available during the week, including weekends and holidays.

Hourly Wage: $20 per hour
