Key Responsibilities- Review and evaluate new administrative procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Delegate work to office support staff to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
- Carry out administrative activities of the establishment, including administering policies and procedures related to the release of records
- Co-ordinate and plan for office services, including accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, and maintenance
- Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence
- Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an administrative role
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of experienced professionals. The ideal candidate will be organized, a team player, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Support for Newcomers and RefugeesThe successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, including housing, transportation, and childcare. They will also support social and labour market integration by facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
Support for YouthsThe successful candidate will offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth.
Support for Indigenous PeopleThe successful candidate will offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
Support for Visible MinoritiesThe successful candidate will offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
This is a permanent position with a 35-hour workweek and English as the primary language of work.
