Physiotherapist - Clinical Specialist

The Physiotherapist is a skilled healthcare professional who assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients in a care setting. The role involves obtaining a detailed medical history, performing specific tests, and developing holistic treatment programs to assist patients in regaining optimal function.
Responsibilities- Assessing patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans using various techniques such as exercises, education, and manual therapy
- Educating and communicating with other health disciplines, family members, and caregivers regarding health promotion, treatment, and patient management
- Supervising physiotherapy students and assistants, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve team goals
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
- Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists
- Strong computer skills, including statistics input and word processing
- Annual CPR certification and WHMIS training
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Competencies in languages, preferably French
This is a permanent full-time position with a 75-hour bi-weekly schedule. Shifts include weekends in a rotational schedule, and some travel between sites may be required.
Compensation and IncentivesYou will be rewarded with a competitive hourly rate of $33.97-$42.89, plus eligibility for our comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
