We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team at Nova Scotia Health. As a Physiotherapist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. You will provide services in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings, educating and communicating with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers. You will also provide supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students and supervision of assistants.



About the Opportunity


  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.
  • Provide services in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings.
  • Educate and communicate with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers.
  • Provide supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students and supervision of assistants.


About You


  • Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy from an accredited university.
  • Be a member of the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists.
  • Hold Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Have computer skills, including statistics input and word processing.
  • Have additional education or training in specialized areas of physiotherapy practice, such as cardio-respiratory techniques, acupuncture, stroke rehabilitation, manual therapy, or balance training.
  • Be proficient in other languages, with French being an asset.


Hours and Compensation


  • Work as a Casual Relief Physiotherapist.
  • Be compensated at a rate of $33.97-$42.89 per hour.
