Job Overview


The Culinary Operations Manager at Great Canadian Entertainment will oversee the day-to-day operations of the culinary department, ensuring that food quality and presentation meet brand standards. This individual will lead a team of culinary staff, provide guidance and mentorship, and ensure that all kitchen areas maintain high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety.


About the Role



  • Estimated salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Lead a team of culinary staff to achieve department and property goals
  • Maintain product and service quality in alignment with brand standards
  • Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and effectively
  • Create an engaging Team Member environment
  • Develop policies and procedures to enhance and measure quality
  • Prepare necessary data for applicable parts of the budget
  • Monitor actual financial results
  • Evaluate products to assure that quality, price, and related goods are consistently met
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements



  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef
  • Post-secondary education in culinary management or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
  • Red Seal certified
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and mentor the team
  • Hotel and/or multi-outlet experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy in MS Office
  • Able to lead a team by motivating, developing, and celebrating the successes of the team
  • Serving It Right Certification or the ability to achieve a Serving It Right Certification
  • Able to successfully pass a criminal record check
