About the Role

We are seeking a talented and dynamic Senior Electrical Engineer to join our leadership team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, managing client relationships, and contributing to business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Take the lead in the overall preparation and submission of design and coordination of electrical systems using digital tools to streamline efficiency and improve outcomes.
  • Client Management: Manage clients and liaise with various municipal authorities and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Business Development: Create fee proposals, pursue leads, and be involved in business development initiatives to drive growth and revenue.
  • Team Leadership: Guide junior members of the team, act as a technical mentor, and contribute to the development of a high-performing team.
  • Project Management: Contribute to project work throughout all phases of the project, including client liaison, project coordination, and technical oversight.
  • Consultative Services: Offer consultative services to clients, exceeding expectations and delivering first-class service.
  • Technical Presentations: Prepare and make technical presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor progress on assigned projects and ensure timely completion.
Requirements:
  • Education: Possess a Master's Degree in Engineering or relevant education; registration as an Engineer or eligibility for registration with APEGA is required.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years' industry experience, with some business development experience an asset.
  • Skills: Proven track record working with design, production, and management of electrical systems for projects in the commercial, institutional, multi-family, healthcare, or retail sectors.
  • Technical Skills: Experience working with technical programs like Revit is essential.
  • Leadership Skills: Detailed approach to project management, entrepreneurial mindset, and strong leadership approach.
  • Client Liaison Skills: Strong client liaison skills, ability to pursue business development initiatives, and motivated and proactive approach.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and communication skills.
