Comprehensive Nursing Care Specialist

The Prairie Mountain Health organization is seeking a skilled Nurse II to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, residents, and clients in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
About the RoleThis challenging position requires the successful applicant to practice in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) or the Registered Psychiatric Nurse Act of Manitoba. Additionally, they must adhere to the Standards of Practice set by the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba or the College of Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba.
ResponsibilitiesThe Nurse II will be responsible for:
- Providing patient-centered care that meets the unique needs of each individual;
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with healthcare teams;
- Participating in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge;
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of care services;
In addition to these core responsibilities, the successful candidate may be required to perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and RequirementsTo be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must possess:
- A degree in nursing from an accredited institution;
- Current licensure as a registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse in Manitoba;
- At least one year of equivalent full-time experience in acute care as a registered nurse within the last three years;
- Basic Cardiac Life Support training;
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills;
A competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year is available for this role, depending on qualifications and experience.
