Job Title: Manager, Partnership Marketing

Job Summary:

The Manager, Partnership Marketing will be responsible for leading the Partnership Marketing team in delivering industry-leading value to partners and protecting and growing Canucks Sports & Entertainment's partnership revenue. This role will focus on managing and inspiring a team of Account Executives and Coordinators, working closely with the Director, Partnership Marketing on personalized development plans, and consistently strategizing for business and relationship growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and inspire a team of Account Executives and Coordinators to celebrate collaboration and innovative thinking, keeping team members highly motivated and serving as a constant culture builder.
  • Work closely with the Director, Partnership Marketing on personalized development plans for each team member's professional growth.
  • Consistently strategize for business and relationship growth, working with the Partnership Strategy team to develop creative and customized solutions for partner growth, renewal, and upsell opportunities.
  • Lead renewal conversations and aim to grow investment from current partners, capitalizing on opportunities to upsell and understand how to convert them successfully.
  • Have a strong understanding of Canucks Sports & Entertainment's revenue goals and help develop paths to reach targets, as well as a strong understanding of the specific business objectives of each partner.
  • Oversee assigned partners' executions across all Canucks Sports & Entertainment properties.
  • Actively track value delivery throughout partnership terms and ensure delivery on all contractual benefits and more.
  • Maintain a strong presence at Canucks and Warriors home games and travel as necessary for relationship building and value delivery.
  • Establish clear, quick, and open lines of communication with partners and key stakeholders, demonstrating a responsiveness to their needs, and asking questions to drive their business forward.
  • Prioritize face-to-face opportunities with partners and maintain a solution-oriented approach to problem solving and managing feedback.
  • Foster a creative environment that inspires new ideas, programs, and activations, with a strong understanding of how to effectively curate them to our partners.
  • Actively monitor all elements of the sports, entertainment, leisure, and service industries for inspiration from best practices that can be utilized in our business.
Requirements:
  • At least three years of experience in Partnership Activation, Partnership Sales, or related sports marketing fields.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field such as marketing or business management.
  • Experience planning and coordinating events, conferences, and/or promotions.
  • Experience in leading or supporting sales conversations.
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels within an organization.
  • Dynamic presentation skills and storytelling capabilities.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends throughout hockey and lacrosse seasons.
