Job Title: Instrumentation Technician Journeyperson - Maintenance & Turnarounds

At Jardeg-Construction, we are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician Journeyperson to join our team in the Maintenance and Turnarounds group. As an Instrumentation Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, test, and calibrate valves, switches, and measurement devices.
  • Work with various pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing instruments to measure and control variables.
  • Experience with tube bending using various sizes of tube benders.
Qualifications:
  • Journeyperson Instrumentation and Controls Technician (I&C/I&E) certification.
  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Instrumentation Tech, preferably in a heavy industrial or construction setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of materials, tools, and installation techniques used as an Instrumentation Tech.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection.
  • Basic Rigging Certification.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test.
  • Background check may be required depending on scope work.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Aerial Work Platform.
  • First Aid.
  • WHMIS.
