At Jardeg-Construction, we are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician Journeyperson to join our team in various project sites across the Province of Alberta.

This is an expression of interest for future opportunities within our Maintenance and Turnaround group, which may include fly-in/fly-out, drive-in/drive-out, and local roles.

As an Instrumentation Tech, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, testing, and calibrating valves, switches, and measurement devices.
  • Working with various pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing instruments to measure and control variables.
  • Experience with tube bending using various sizes of tube benders.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Instrumentation and Controls Technician (I&C/I&E) certification.
  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Instrumentation Tech, preferably in a heavy industrial or construction setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of materials, tools, and installation techniques used as an Instrumentation Tech.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection.
  • Basic Rigging Certification.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test.
  • Background check may be required depending on scope work.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Aerial Work Platform.
  • First Aid.
  • WHMIS.
