Role Overview:

The Senior Automation Solutions Engineer is responsible for orchestrating the planning, management, and development of tailored automation solutions within the Life Sciences sector. This position demands a proactive individual with exceptional engineering problem-solving skills, project management expertise, and a solid understanding of business principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and comprehend customer technical requirements.
  • Plan and oversee proposal development.
  • Lead a proposal development team, including subject matter experts.
  • Conceptualize custom automation solutions.
  • Identify, define, and manage technical risks.
  • Source and collaborate with top-tier third-party suppliers during the proposal phase.
  • Conduct site visits to assess current manufacturing practices and present technical proposals.
  • Deliver solutions and cost estimates to senior management for approval.
  • Engage in sales strategy formulation in collaboration with ATS capture teams.
  • Draft comprehensive technical proposals.
  • Work with other ATS divisions globally to integrate innovative technologies.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a post-secondary diploma or degree in mechanical, systems, or electrical engineering, or an equivalent qualification. Previous co-op experience that complements academic projects is advantageous.

Experience:

Successful candidates will have a strong mechanical aptitude, along with familiarity in automation design, robotics, machine controls, and manufacturing processes. Excellent communication skills are essential for presenting engaging technical solutions effectively. A passion for overcoming technical challenges and a competitive spirit are highly valued.
