About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Specialist to join our team at TAYSTEE GRILL. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate and manage food costs, inventory, and supplies
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and specialist chefs
  • Plan and execute menu planning, including daily specials and seasonal offerings
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create a positive and productive work environment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic kitchen environment
Work Environment

Our kitchen is a fast-paced and dynamic environment where you will be working with a team of experienced chefs and kitchen staff. You will be required to work in a physically demanding environment and be able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time.

Language

The primary language spoken in our kitchen is English, but we also welcome applicants who are fluent in French.

Work Hours

This is a permanent position with a regular schedule of 30 hours per week.
