Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Director of Community Ministries to lead our team in Fort St. John, British Columbia.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned leader with experience in not-for-profit social services. As Executive Director of Community Ministries, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, program development, and evaluation of our community ministries. You will also provide direction and oversight to ensure effective management practices, sound financial acumen, and strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve ministry objectives
  • Provide leadership and oversight to ensure effective management practices and sound financial decisions
  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including government funders and community organizations
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation processes and resource utilization
  • Serve as the senior manager of the community ministries department, overseeing 7-8 full-time employees, part-time employees, and/or volunteers
Requirements:
  • Mastery's degree, preferably in a related field, and a diploma/certificate in Human Relations or Human Sciences
  • A minimum of five years of prior related experience, including supervisory and budget management experience in a not-for-profit social services environment
  • Strong skills in MSOffice 365 (Excel, TEAMS, Word, PPT) and proficiency in strategic planning, program development, and evaluation
  • Sound management skills, including setting direction, managing performance, assessing capability; proven ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with community-based organizations
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off.
