Job Title: Executive Chef - Five Sails Restaurant

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Five Sails Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management.

Responsibilities:
  • Chef Management: Supervise and train cooks, sous chefs, and other kitchen staff to ensure high-quality dishes are prepared efficiently and safely.
  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement new menu items, ensuring they meet the highest standards of flavor, presentation, and nutritional value.
  • Inventory Management: Manage food, supplies, and equipment inventory to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and well-maintained, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in culinary arts an asset.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a chef or sous chef in a high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Skills: Excellent culinary skills, leadership abilities, and attention to detail; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.
