Job Summary

The Business Applications Support Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing processes, procedures, and systems that support data quality and integrity within our major applications. This will involve working closely with our Business Applications Manager and other team members to develop and update technical documentation, as well as testing and deploying applications to both desktop and in-cab computer systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement processes, procedures, and systems that support data quality and integrity within our major applications.
  • Develop and update technical documentation to ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Work with the team to develop and implement data warehouse data solutions.
  • Test and deploy applications to both desktop and in-cab computer systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with new developments in our major systems and ensure that our processes and procedures are aligned with these changes.
  • Provide employee setup, maintenance, and cleanup services.
  • Develop and maintain data transformation and data model objects.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of business strategy, processes, and requirements across multiple business lines.

Requirements

  • Must have an understanding or working knowledge of the transportation industry.
  • Knowledge in Trimble group of products.
  • Experience with data warehouse concepts.
  • Experience with Power BI (or equivalent visual business intelligence reporting service).
  • Experience developing business intelligence tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Comfortable explaining data visualizations to a non-data audience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and confident.
  • Capable of handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring initiative and ambition, able to work independently.
