About the Role

ICONIX is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive mining market sales in the assigned provinces. The successful candidate will cultivate new business, manage existing relationships, and focus on growing the ICONIX brand with consulting engineers within the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and develop strong client relationships, providing innovative solutions and advising contractors on installation methods to ensure client satisfaction
  • Develop a comprehensive business plan for HDPE Sales, covering sales, revenue, and expense controls, with a focus on growth
  • Identify new market opportunities for business growth, keeping abreast of industry trends and customer needs. Provide product training to sales staff ensuring their proficiency in selling HDPE products and act as a technical resource to assist in closing sales
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and other members of the ICONIX team to grow municipal, industrial and HDPE sales. This includes providing information, price quotes, processing and completing orders, and efficient delivery
  • Provide HDPE quoting services for both large integrated projects and stand-alone HDPE sales
  • Visit job sites to assist with any installation or address fusion issues as needed
  • Meet with Municipalities and Engineering groups to achieve HDPE specification approval, expand available market and ICONIX market share
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 5 years' related experience
  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
  • Experience in customer relationship management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate
  • Strong strategic thinking skills to make a huge impact on the business
  • Ability to organize effectively and delegate responsibilities
  • Sales planning and territory management skills
  • Problem-solving skills
