Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:- Manage the Human Resources function to ensure key initiatives are aligned with plant operational strategy.
- Provide advice and guidance on Labour Relations matters, including grievance/dispute resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Track and monitor HR Key Performance Indicators, such as Attendance, Turnover, and Retention.
- Facilitate execution of plant operations and corporate programs, including succession planning and orientation.
- Prepare and administer the HR budget, ensuring effective control and spending within budget.
- Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives related to Human Resources.
- Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Commerce, or Business Administration.
- CPHR designation preferred.
- Minimum eight to ten years of related experience, with at least three years of management experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of proactively managing Labour/Management relationships.
- Passionate about coaching, mentoring, and developing people to achieve positions of greater responsibility.
- Strong business and operational acumen, particularly within manufacturing and/or food processing.
- Demonstrated initiative, drive, and leadership; excellent communication skills.
