Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of provincial guidelines and standards of practices for the delivery of communicable diseases control programs.
  • Provide leadership and expert clinical consultation to public health practitioners.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote evidenced-based practice and shares knowledge about current research and literature.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address emerging practice trends and challenges.
  • Represent BCCDC on external committees and with external bodies.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and a minimum of five (5) years of recent, related clinical experience in TB and public health nursing.
  • Eligible for registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective member of an interdisciplinary care team.
