About the Role

Chery's Rental Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Apartment Building Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our apartment buildings, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and well-maintained appearance.
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
  • Perform safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of our residents and staff.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to maintain a pleasant and welcoming environment.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas during winter months.
Requirements
  • Will train on the job.
