Building Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at JB Flortec Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our apartment complex.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Industrial Equipment: Safely operate industrial vacuum cleaners, scrubbers, and other equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure that all areas are kept clean and free of debris.
- Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including washing windows, interior walls, and ceilings, as well as making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Contractor Management: Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment, and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
- Appliance Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on appliances, and ensure that all equipment is in good working order.
- Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks, and ensure that all areas are secure and free from hazards.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other routine maintenance jobs, such as painting and drywall repair, as well as water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, and be able to work independently with a high level of initiative and organization.
- Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina, and the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) on a regular basis.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
