About the Role

Chery's Rental Inc. is seeking a skilled Apartment Building Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our apartment complexes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and waxing hallways, floors, and stairs. Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and other refuse.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure that the facilities are kept clean and free of hazards.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems. Contact tradespersons for major repairs and contractors for maintenance of the establishment.
  • Safety and Security: Perform regular safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of our residents and staff.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train. Permanent position with 30 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
